Darwin was born in 1972 in Santiago de las Vegas a small town in Havana, Cuba. At the age of 5 his parents noticed his drawings talents. Darwin was accepted in a local art school in Cuba at 6 yrs old where his art skills developed. Over the next 7 years he won several awards of national and international acclaim. In 1984 Darwin was accepted in San Alejandro Fine Arts Institute but due to political and economical crisis he and his family left Cuba and went to Spain where they continued to the United States unable to continue studying in such institute.

Brian started his own group in 1996 and has become an accomplished composer and arranger and he has performed at most of the major jazz venues in Los Angeles leading his own groups including; The Catalina Bar & Grill, The Jazz Bakery, Spazio, Steamer’s Cafe, The Baked Potato, Lunaria, The Jazz Spot, Fais Do Do and King King.
